Raise Your Spirits

Hosted by the Board of Directors Fundraising Committe and coordinated by Board Vice President Sharon Mailhot at the Time Expo Museum the Raise Your Spirits: Wine and Beer Tasting event went off without a hitch. Over 150 guests demonstrated their support for the agency by sampling fine wine and beer while gnoshing on wonderful appetizers and snacks provided by area resturants.

NeJaime's Fine Wine & Spirits of Watertown sponsered the wine distributors which allowed guests to sample a wide range of wine and beer from over 20 different distributors.

Guests were also treated to wonderful edibles provided by Bin 300 World Bistro of Wolcott, 121 Resturant in Oxford, 3W & The Blue Bar in Litchfield and Sophie Resturant of Watertown.

Volunteers from Holy Cross High School did a wonderful job talking up the different appetizers and edibles throughout the event. Each taking time out to answer questions and provide napkins as well as directing guests to each area.

Our wonderful day was wrapped up by our Executive Director and Board Vice President selecting and congratulating the raffle and door prize winners.

A suprising thing happened during the selection process and one lucky guest won both the door and raffle wine baskets!

This raffle prize winner left with a two night state at the Abel Darling Bed and Breakfast in Litchfield, CT.

And this guest was excited over his prize of a foursome at the Farms Country Club in Wallingford, CT.

One lucky guest also won a night on the town with dinner for two and a pair of tickets to the Natalie Cole concert at the Palace Theater.

A heartfelt thank you goes out to both those who volunteered and those who joined us for this event. Each event provides our agency with the ability to provide quality care for youth in need.
